 | President: Dr. Rod Hudson
Dr. Roderick John Hudson graduated from the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell in 1986. After working in NYC for five years he relocated to Northern Virginia. Dr. Hudson first started working as an associate at an Arlington practice, then founded his own veterinary relief business. He is currently the co-owner of Colonial Animal Hospital in Springfield. In addition to his practice, Dr Hudson works at the Federal Drug Administartion as an adverse event reviewer for veterinary pharmaceuticals. Dr. Hudson is a member of the AVMA, VVMA and is on the curriculum board for NVCC’s veterinary technician program. |

 | Vice President: Dr. Laura MacLean
Laura MacLean is a 1997 Graduate of Tufts Veterinary School. She practiced for several years in New York City before coming to VCA Old Town Animal Hospital, where she has been medical director for 10 years. She has special interests in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and exotic animal medicine. She has been a member of NVVMA for over eight years. |

 | Treasurer: Dr. Sybille Miller Dr. Sybille A. Miller enjoys sharing and promoting the NoVA local veterinary community in her service as an officer for the NVVMA. On a national level, she is a regular contributor to the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) by critiquing their certification examination and reviewing abstracts.
She pursues her veterinary passion as an ACVIM board certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist with Leesburg Veterinary Internal Medicine at The LifeCentre. She has a particular fondness and weakness for small dogs, especially pugs. She is an avid pilot and recently flew volunteer surgical resources to Tangier Island to support a free spay/neuter clinic. In her spare time, she is a volunteer for Angel Flight and the Homeland Security Emergency Response Team. Dr. Miller looks forward to partnering with the executive board for an additional four years, as part of this fun and dedicated veterinary group.

 | Secretary: Dr. Tregel Cockburn
A native of Queens, New York City with dual degrees from Cornell University (BS ’88, DVM ’94) who resides with family and a submissive 10-yr old German Shepherd mix in Sterling, Virginia. Dr. Cockburn tarted a small animal general practice utilizing previous corporate veterinary practice experience gained from major cities of St. Louis, Missouri and Atlanta, Georgia as lead doctor, medical and field directors. After five years of successful practice ownership in a large northeast suburb of Atlanta, Dr. Cockburn relocated to the metro VA/MD area. He is currently an assistant professor since 2008 and department director for AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program at Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia (NOVA) Community College. Teaching interests include hospital management, clinical lab diagnostics and disaster veterinary medicine. |

 | Advisor: Dr. Keith delaCruz Keith de la Cruz is a native Washingtonian. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland College Park and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. He practices at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Arlington, where he has been since 2004. In addition to his work with the NVVMA, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association. He lives in Alexandria and enjoys music and travel.
